Chinese Ambassador Zhang Lizhong Represents New Year Greetings to Medical Team in Uganda

Ambassador Zhang Lizhong of China visited the Chinese Medical Team in Uganda on December 31, 2024, to convey New Year wishes. He praised the team’s contributions over 41 years and urged for enhanced medical services. Dr. Li Yun, the team leader, expressed gratitude for the support from the Embassy, committing to further collaboration in health services between China and Uganda.

On December 31, 2024, His Excellency Mr. Zhang Lizhong, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Uganda, visited the 24th medical team stationed in the country to extend New Year blessings and greetings. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Wang Jianxun, Counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs, who accompanied the Ambassador.

During his address, Ambassador Zhang commended the Chinese Medical Teams for their significant contributions to the local communities and the Chinese population in Uganda over the past 41 years. He reiterated the importance of the medical team’s commitment to providing enhanced healthcare services, characterised by a spirit of resilience, dedication, compassion, and a genuine commitment to saving lives. Ambassador Zhang encouraged the team to strengthen collaboration with Ugandan counterparts to further elevate healthcare exchanges and cooperation.
