The Mazda 6e, also known as the Mazda EZ-6 in China, launched there on October 26, 2024. It has gained popularity, selling 2,445 units in November and ranking within the top three for mid-size new energy sedans. The EZ-6 utilizes Changan’s EPA hybrid platform and offers seven models priced between approximately 19,300 and 24,800 USD, featuring both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range electric (EREV) variants, with impressive ranges and advanced technology features.

Mazda plans to invest 5 billion Thai baht (around 148.37 million USD) to enhance its manufacturing capabilities in Thailand, which will allow for an annual production of 100,000 units. The focus will be on compact SUVs intended for export markets and domestic sales. Over the next three years, Mazda aims to introduce five electrified models, including the Mazda 6e, collaborating with Changan Automobile.
