A recorded video from Mecca authorities depicted pilgrims continuing their rituals at the Grand Mosque, the holiest site in Islam, despite the adverse weather conditions. Notably, Jeddah faced severe flooding last week as a result of heavy downpours, with social media capturing footage of flash floods occurring northeast of the city.
