Vehicle Thefts Reported in Nairobi During World Cup Qualifier Match
A man reported his car stolen after watching a Kenya vs Gabon match. He parked his Toyota IST on Kisauni Road and returned to find it missing. Police are investigating this and another theft involving a white Toyota Axio taken from a residential area in Juja.
A man recently reported his car missing after attending a World Cup qualifier match between Kenya and Gabon. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the individual parked his silver Toyota IST (registration number KBN 093B) along Kisauni Road behind Nairobi West Hospital at approximately 3:40 PM before heading to the event.
Upon returning at around 7 PM, he discovered that his parking spot was empty and subsequently reported the theft to the Akila Police Station in Lang’ata. Police have since initiated an investigation to locate the stolen vehicle.
In a related incident, police in Juja are also investigating the theft of a white Toyota Axio. This vehicle was stolen from a residential area in Matangi, close to Rurii Primary School, Kimbo, after the owner parked it outside overnight. The following morning, the owner noticed the vehicle was missing.
Authorities encourage the public to report any suspicious activities or to provide tips regarding these investigations.
