Eyewitnesses reported that the cause of the altercation remains unknown. They noted that Mubarak was often seen wandering the streets and searching through refuse containers. Sadly, Danshehu was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Minna General Hospital after being rushed there following the stabbing.
Wasiu Abiodun, the spokesman for the Niger State Police Command, confirmed the details of the incident. He stated, “The suspect was arrested,” adding that Mubarak was engaged in scavenging activities in the area and had an altercation with Danshehu, which led to the fatal stabbing involving a pair of scissors. The police have taken Mubarak into custody for further investigation.
