According to a weather forecaster, Saudi Arabia is anticipated to reach peak rainfall levels in April, which is expected to be the driest month of the year. Aqeel Al Aqeel, an analyst at the Saudi National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), states, “The peak of rainfall in the kingdom occurs in spring, with the highest levels recorded in April.”

The regions expected to be most affected by the rainfall include Asir and Al Baha in the southwest, as well as Mecca and Taif in the west. These areas are forecasted to experience higher rainfall amounts compared to other parts of the country.

Satellite images indicate a formation of thunderstorms, with heavy rain predicted across the mountain peaks of Mecca, Al Baha, Asir, and Taif in the following days. The NCM’s weather report for Tuesday also suggested the likelihood of thunderstorms, accompanied by hail and strong winds raising dust in regions such as Medina, Ha’il, Tabuk, Al Jawf, and the Northern Borders.
