The Punch.ev, an electric compact SUV, is outfitted with a 35kWh battery that delivers a 270-290 km range. It boasts a 90 kW motor generating 190 Nm of torque, alongside premium features such as a 26.03 cm infotainment system and wireless smartphone connectivity, enhancing its appeal.

The flagship Nexon.ev features a larger 45kWh battery with a remarkable range of 350-375 km. With a robust 106kW motor providing 215 Nm torque, it achieves 0-100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds. It offers luxury features including a JBL 8-speaker system, 360° camera, and DC fast charging, which can recharge 10-80% in 40 minutes. Each model includes an impressive 8-year/160,000 km warranty on the battery and motor, and complimentary home charging wall box is included with the purchase.

Despite a developing market, Mauritius already features electric vehicles from other brands such as BYD, MG, and Nissan. Tata.ev’s models will compete against the BYD Dolphin, MG ZS EV, and Nissan Leaf, leveraging competitive pricing and Tata’s reliable reputation to potentially disrupt current market leaders.
