TATA.ev Partners with Allied Motors to Launch EV Collection in Mauritius

TATA.ev has partnered with Allied Motors to launch its electric vehicle range in Mauritius, introducing models like the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev, which offer advanced features and sustainability. TATA.ev, a subsidiary of Tata Motors, has officially entered the Mauritian market by collaborating with Allied Motors, the predominant automobile distributor in the region. This strategic alliance has unveiled TATA.ev’s electric vehicle (EV) collection, which comprises models such as the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev. These vehicles feature advanced high-voltage platforms for enhanced terrain adaptability, safety, comfort, and maintenance efficiency.

Yash Khandelwal, Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., emphasized that this venture signifies TATA.ev’s inaugural expansion outside the SAARC area. He acknowledged Mauritius’ government dedication to fostering sustainable mobility, establishing the nation as a critical participant in TATA’s EV ambitions.

James Ngan, Managing Director of Allied Motors, noted that the newly launched TATA.ev models are tailored to address the rising demand for sustainable and innovative mobility options in Mauritius. These vehicles are designed with emphasis on power, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology, while Allied Motors commits to providing extensive after-sales support to enhance customer satisfaction.

The TATA.ev collection features the Tiago.ev, which offers a driving range of 190-210 km and fast charging capabilities within one hour. Meanwhile, the Punch.ev, a compact SUV, boasts a 270-290 km range and innovative infotainment and safety functionalities. The Nexon.ev, an electric SUV, provides a remarkable range of 350-375 km, equipped with numerous technological amenities, including a 360° camera system and DC fast charging capability.

Each model is accompanied by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty covering the battery and motor, as well as complimentary home charging apparatus. Allied Motors is dedicated to delivering professional sales and after-sales services to ensure a seamless ownership experience.
