He added that the difficulties at this venue might be even more pronounced than those experienced at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), stating, “To me, it is probably just a little bit worse than COTA. It doesn’t feel like there is going to be grass on both sides so it is just a little bit different. Overall, I think it should probably be a good race. That is what we want to see.”

To better equip the teams for this new venue, NASCAR has planned an extended practice session scheduled for Friday. The first 50-minute run kicks off at 1 p.m., followed by an additional 25-minute session at 3 p.m. Qualifying will take place Saturday at noon.
