The conviction includes six counts of child pornography, two counts of sexual communication with a minor, and one count each of indecent acts and child abuse. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecution (ODPP) disclosed these details in a statement on March 4.

The court revealed that the accused had deliberately shared obscene audiovisual materials with a 17-year-old victim via WhatsApp, aiming to persuade the minor to engage in sexual conduct. Additionally, he was found guilty of inciting a 16-year-old to communicate with him in a sexual manner and indecently touching the same minor in a compromising situation.

Furthermore, the suspect encouraged another individual, referred to as PW3, to participate in sexual acts with underage girls and directed him to capture nude photographs and videos of those encounters, which were subsequently sent to him. These offenses were committed over a period from April 2022 to November 2023, as stated by the ODPP.

In delivering the verdict, Honorable Alice Macharia highlighted the substantial evidence presented during the trial, establishing the defendant’s guilt on all counts beyond reasonable doubt. Alongside the prison sentence, the court imposed a total fine of Ksh3 Million for restitution to the victims and mandated the deportation of the suspect upon completion of his term. Nine witnesses testified during the proceedings to support the charges against the accused.
