Al-Sadr also underscored the importance of a robust voter turnout, stating, “Political elections require a large number of votes.” His recent remarks come amid intensified efforts by the Shiite Coordination Framework to persuade him to return to the political arena. This push follows Al-Sadr’s withdrawal from the political process and future elections, wherein he sought to distance himself from corrupt politicians. His departure was marked by the resignation of all 73 of his MPs in Parliament.
