Their actions escalated as they detonated explosives at five ATMs and proceeded to raid a store, bombing its drop-safe. The situation intensified further when the assailants, during their getaway, engaged police officers in a shootout.

“The suspects robbed him of his firearm and entered the shopping mall, where they robbed the second security officer of his cell phone. It is further alleged that the suspects then bombed five ATMs and broke into one of the shops, where they also bombed the drop-safe,” stated Lieutenant Colonel Masondo. Tragically, one of the security personnel was shot and has since been treated at a medical facility.

Despite the violent confrontations, the suspects successfully evaded capture, and as of now, no arrests have been made. Law enforcement authorities remain vigilant in their endeavor to apprehend those responsible for this brazen attack.
