Lamborghini has recently unveiled its new Temerario supercar at a dedicated event in Johannesburg, marking the vehicle’s introduction to the South African market. The Temerario serves as the successor to the Huracán and is positioned as Lamborghini’s ‘entry-level’ supercar, with a price tag of R7,525,000.

According to Rouven Mohr, Lamborghini’s Chief Technical Officer, the Temerario promises an innovative and emotional driving experience. It features an e-4WD system with real torque vectoring, providing an exceptional combination of handling and performance.

The supercar is powered by a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain, comprising a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors, collectively generating an impressive output of 677kW. This remarkable power allows the Temerario to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.

The new model is notably Lamborghini’s first super sports car featuring a V8 twin-turbo engine alongside electric motors. It is also recognized as the second vehicle within Lamborghini’s High-Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) range.

Drivers of the Temerario have the opportunity to choose from 13 driving experience modes via rotors located on the steering wheel, including options such as Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus. Engaging the “checkered flag” button for two seconds activates Launch Control, enhancing the driving experience for quick dashes.
