The Prime Minister’s Office in Armenia released a statement responding to claims made by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence between March 16 and 18, which alleged six ceasefire violations by Armenian armed forces. According to the statement, the Armenian Ministry of Defense conducted inspections that refuted these allegations.

In its announcement, Armenia reminded Azerbaijan of a proposal made on June 22, 2024, for establishing a joint mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations. The Armenian government indicated that Azerbaijan had yet to respond positively to this suggestion.

On March 17, the Armenian Ministry of Defence indicated willingness to thoroughly investigate the claims made by Azerbaijan, provided that evidence was formally conveyed to Armenia. In January 2025, Armenia submitted a written proposal to Azerbaijan aimed at resolving railway cargo transportation issues and establishing a bilateral arms control mechanism, awaiting a favorable response from Azerbaijan. Armenia also reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing border delimitation efforts.

In a supportive gesture, Egypt welcomed the progress in negotiations related to the draft peace agreement, expressing optimism that this agreement will conclude long-standing conflicts and work toward establishing lasting peace in the South Caucasus region. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they recognize the culmination of efforts from both nations and expressed hope for the prompt signing of the agreement.
