On Sunday, a minibus driver and multiple passengers were arrested following the discovery of an unclaimed Glock 9mm pistol within the vehicle. According to Police Headquarters, the driver, Adrian Dailey, and his passengers were located at Shanta Creek on the Soesdyke Linden Highway when police received tips prompting their search of the minibus.

The firearm was found in a bag situated behind the chauffeur’s seat; however, Dailey denied ownership of the bag. The passengers included various individuals, such as Pettol October, a security guard; Sharmain Yearwood, a supervisor; and Dewon Johnson, a housewife, among others. Additionally, two 17-year-old girls were also questioned by the authorities.

When prompted to identify their belongings, all individuals, including the passengers, declined to claim ownership of the bag containing the firearm and asserted they had no knowledge of it. Consequently, they were informed of the offense, subsequently arrested, and taken to the Timehri Police Station for further inquiries. Dailey and the passengers remain in custody while investigations continue.
