During the raid, the team recovered a substantial quantity of drugs, including 74 bottles of codeine, 10 liters of codeine syrup, 48 grams of tramadol at a dosage of 225mg, and 4.9 kilograms of skunk, along with five Android phones. As the officers exited the building, they were met with gunfire, resulting in injuries to three officers: one shot in the rib and two others injured in the back and leg.

The injured officers were initially stabilized at the Police Clinic located in Garki Area 1 before being transferred to the National Hospital, Abuja, for comprehensive treatment. The NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa, expressed appreciation for the prompt assistance provided by the clinic’s staff and commended the Chief Medical Director of the National Hospital for his hands-on approach in overseeing the officers’ care.

While on official duties in Kano, Mr. Marwa communicated with the injured officers via phone, wishing them a swift recovery and assuring them that the NDLEA would collaborate with other security agencies to apprehend the perpetrators of the attack.
