“This man was on the run, and his arrest marks a major breakthrough in our investigation,” stated a senior officer closely involved in the case, wishing to remain unnamed. Kuria’s capture in Isebania is significant as it raises the total number of individuals detained in connection to the assassination to eleven. Other arrested suspects include Were’s personal bodyguard, Allan Omondi, and his driver, Walter Owino, alongside William Imoli, who is believed to have been instrumental in funding and organizing the murder.

Moreover, the ongoing investigation is looking into the involvement of several notable figures, of whom businessman Phillip Aroko and Lake Basin Development Authority Director Ebel Ochieng are being scrutinized for alleged financial contributions to the plot. In addition, Edwin Oduor and Dennis Manyasi remain in custody as part of the expansive probe.
