Shakira has added two more shows to her tour in Mexico, making her total 28. The performances will be on September 18 and September 24 in Mexico City and Veracruz, respectively. This expansion secures her record for the most concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros. Shakira’s tour has been immensely successful, topping Billboard rankings and drawing over a million fans across Latin America.

Shakira has recently added two more dates to her highly popular Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour in Mexico, extending her record-breaking total to 28 shows. The additional performances are set for September 18 at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros and September 24 at Estadio Luis Pirata Fuente in Veracruz, marking her first concert in that state. With these announcements, she solidifies her place as the artist with the most concerts held at the iconic Estadio GNP Seguros, according to promoter OCESA.

In her excitement, Shakira took to Instagram to express her gratitude, saying, “My beautiful Mexico! 12 shows at Estadio GNP! Thank you, thank you, and thank you again for continuing to break records with me. See you soon. I love you!!” posting alongside a plaque she received from OCESA acknowledging her achievement.

The second leg of the tour kicks off on August 11 in Tijuana and will include stops in Hermosillo, Chihuahua, and Torreón. Following a historic run of seven sold-out shows at Estadio GNP Seguros, the tour will return for a string of five more performances in Mexico City from August 26 to September 18, bringing the total to a record 12. This makes Shakira the first artist to achieve such a remarkable number at the venue, previously known as Foro Sol.

As Shakira continues to add dates—driven by high ticket demand—she is poised to match Grupo Firme’s record of eight performances at Estadio GNP Seguros, with the band’s eighth show coming up on June 28. The success of Shakira’s tour has been phenomenal, as she topped Billboard’s monthly Top Tours ranking for the first time, earning $32.9 million from 282,000 tickets sold in February alone.

Not just a one-time occurrence, the following month saw Shakira lead again, bringing in $70.6 million over 11 shows, making it the highest revenue ever generated in a single March since Billboard Boxscore’s inception in 2019. Her tour is also notable for attracting over a million fans across Latin America, a feat underscoring her popularity and influence in the music industry. This year, she has also been recognized as the top female Latin pop artist by Billboard, ranking No. 1 among the Best 50 Female Latin Pop Artists of All Time.

Shakira continues to break records with her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, adding two new shows in Mexico that bring her total to 28. She’s set to perform extensively across the country, solidifying her place in music history. With her immense success, Shakira is not only leading Billboard charts but also solidifying her legendary status among Latin artists.
